Owl Popsicle Stick Craft For Kids

Fall is the perfect time to get creative with your kids and this owl popsicle stick craft is a great project! Not only is it a fun, hands-on activity, but it's also a simple way for kids to explore their creative side.

Materials

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Glue dots or hot glue
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Owl template

Instructions

  • Download the owl template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Line up 11 popsicle sticks together. Take 3 additional popsicle sticks and stretch 2 glue dots along each of them. Glue each of these popsicle sticks to the group of 11, one on top, in the middle, and on the bottom.
  • Paint the popsicle sticks in 1-2 thin coats of brown paint and let it dry completely before moving on.
  • Take the top of head piece and glue it to the top of the popsicle sticks.
  • Next, place the ear tufts on the top right and left corners and glue them in place.
  • Position the eyes on either side of the head and glue them down.
  • Glue the beak in the middle of the eyes.
  • Take the belly and glue it just below the beak, in the middle of the body.
  • Place the wings, one on each side, and glue them below the eyes.
  • Finish up by gluing the feet to the back and bottom of the popsicle sticks.
