Materials

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Owl template download form located at the end of this post

Instructions

  • Download the template, print and cut out the pieces you'll need.
  • Glue the owl body to the bottom of the brown paper bag and cut off any excess paper bag that extends past the body.
  • Place the head to the flap of the paper bag and glue in place.
  • Begin to assemble the owl's eyes by gluing the largest outline to the owl's head. Next, glue the black part of the eye to the middle of the tan outline. Take the yellow circle and glue it to the top of the black part of the eye. Finally, add the white and black part of the eye to the top of the eye.
  • Glue the owl's beak to the middle of the head, slightly overlapping the eyes on each side.
  • Take the owl's wings, then glue the inside the side flap of the brown paper bag.
  • Finish off the feet by gluing them to the bottom of the paper bag, one on each side.
