Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Black marker
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Acorn template

Instructions

  • Download the acorn template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by painting the paper plate with 1-2 thin coats of brown paint. Let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  • Next, glue the cap to the top portion of the paper plate.
  • Now, glue the eyes to the center of the paper plate.
  • Position the mouth below the eyes and glue it in place.
  • Glue the tongue to the center of the mouth.
  • Next, glue the cheeks below the eyes.
  • Finish off by drawing the eyebrows on top of the eyes.
