Download the whale template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Paint the paper plate in 1 or 2 thin coats of paint. Let dry completely before moving on.

Place the whale head template on the paper plate, trace, and cut it out.

Take the belly pieces and use a blue gray marker to draw curved lines along it from top to bottom.

Position the belly along the bottom of the whale head and glue it down.

Glue the eyes on either side of the head, then glue the cheeks slightly below the eyes.

Use a black marker to draw a smile in between the eyes.

Flip the paper plate over and use tape to attach the fins to the bottom and outside of the head. You can also use glue, but tape holds better and is faster.

Finish off the craft by gluing the whale's tail to the top, middle of the whale head.
