Materials

  • Paper Plates
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • Tape optional
  • Koala template

Instructions

  • Download the koala template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by painting the paper plate in a thin coat of gray paint. Let dry completely before moving on.
  • Place the koala head template on the dry paper plate, trace, and cut out.
  • Glue the koala's eyes slightly above the center line of the head.
  • Next, glue the mouth to the middle of the plate so the top part of it is slightly overlapping the bottom of the eyes.
  • Take the nose and glue it just above the mouth.
  • Glue the cheeks just below and to the side of the eyes.
  • Finish the koala's ears by gluing the pink inner ear to the gray outer ear. Tape or glue the completed ear to the top, back of the koala's head.
