Materials

  • Paper Plate
  • Brown paint or any other color your child wants
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Owl template download form located at the end of this post

Instructions

  • Download the owl template, print and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Paint the paper plate in 1-2 light coats of brown paint. Let dry completely before moving on.
  • Take the yellow part of the eyes and glue them to the inside sides of both of the white parts of the eyes.
  • Take the completed eye and glue it to the center of the owl eye outline. Place the finished eye area and glue both of them to the paper plate.
  • Grab the owl's beak and glue it between and near the bottom of the two eyes.
  • Glue the owl's wings on each side of the paper plate, just below the eyes.
  • Finish off the owl by gluing the feet to the bottom of the paper plate, in between the wings.
