Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • 1 " circle punch
  • 5/8 " circle punch
  • Pencil

Instructions

  • Download the peacock template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin to create the peacock by gluing the eyes to the middle of the head.
  • Glue the beak in between and slightly overlapping the eyes.
  • Place the feet on the bottom of the peacock and glue in place.
  • Cut out 3 long, thin rectangles and glue to the top, back of the peacock's head.
  • Trace your child's hand onto the green paper 2-3 times. We did ours 3 times, but you can get away with 2 each as well. Cut out the handprints.
  • Use the 5/8" punch to cut out 15 yellow circles. Glue these yellow circles to the tips of each finger. Set aside for later.
  • Fan the handprints out along the backside of the peacock and glue in place.
  • Finish off the peacock's feathers by punching out 6 blue dots with the 5/8" circle punch and cutting out 6 light green circles with the 1" circle punch. Glue the blue circle inside the green circle, then glue these decorations along the part of the feathers you can see.
