Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Small pom poms optional
  • Penguin Template

Instructions

  • Download the penguin template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Trace your child’s hand on a piece of black paper and cut it out.
  • Position the handprint with the fingers down and the palm facing up. Begin to make the penguin by gluing the penguin’s body to the top of the palm.

  • Take the beak and glue it in between the eyes.
  • Color in the penguin's hat, then glue it to the top of the penguin's head.
  • Glue the iceberg blocks on the blue background paper.
  • Glue the penguin at the top of the iceberg block. It will look like the penguin is standing on the iceberg blocks.

  • Optionally: Finish up by gluing pom pom snowballs on the background paper.
