Pete can help kids master spelling their names by making this Pete the Cat name craft. This is another lesson Pete can help kids learn as they spell their names out on the buttons of Pete’s iconic yellow shirt.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pete the cat template

Instructions

  • Download the pete the cat template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes in the middle of Pete’s face.
  • Next, glue the triangle nose in between and just below the eyes.
  • Position the yellow shirt on Pete’s body and glue it down.
  • Now, glue the feet to the lower portion of the yellow shirt.
  • Next, glue the letters in the center of the shirt to spell out the child’s name.
  • Glue the tail to the back and lower portion of his body.
  • Finish off by gluing the head to the top portion of the body.
