Materials

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Police template

Instructions

  • Download the police template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the hair to the top of the head.
  • If using the boy officer template, glue the eyes on either side of the nose. If using the girl officer template, skip to the next step.
  • Create the hat by gluing the larger badge to the middle of the hat. Next, glue the hat to the top of the head.
  • Make the police officer's body by gluing the shoes to the bottom of the body.
  • Glue the belt to the middle of the body, just above the leg marks. Take the outer buckle and glue it in the middle of the belt. Then, take the inner buckle to the middle of the outer buckle.
  • Next, glue the tie just above the belt.
  • Place the badge to the right of the tie and glue it in place.
  • Take the completed body piece and glue it to the main portion of the brown paper bag.
  • Now glue the head to the flap portion of the bag.
  • Create the arms by gluing hands to the end of the arms.
  • Finish up by gluing the arms, one on each side of the body, to the side flaps of the bag.
