Popsicle Stick Polar Bear Craft

Materials

  • Popsicle sticks
  • White acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue dots permanent or hot glue
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Polar bear template

Instructions

  • Download the polar bear template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Line up 4 popsicle sticks side by side. Take a 5th popsicle stick and cut it into thirds. Stretch one glue dot along each of the cut popsicle sticks.
  • Take the cut popsicle sticks and glue them across the top, middle, and bottom of the 4 popsicle sticks to hold them together. If you don't want to use glue dots, you can also hot glue them together.
  • Flip the popsicle sticks over and paint the front with 1-2 thin coats of white paint. Let dry completely before moving on.

  • Begin to make the polar bear by gluing the eyes just a little below the top of the popsicle sticks.
  • Glue the nose/mouth slightly overtop the bottom and in between the eyes.

  • Place the belly towards the bottom of the body and glue it to secure. Position the outer legs on the bottom corners of each side of the body.
  • Next, glue the inner legs along the outside of the body, slightly below the mouth.

  • Use the pink marker to draw on the inner ears on the outer ears, then glue them to the top corners of the polar bear.
