Popsicle Stick Pumpkin Craft For Kids

Materials

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Permanent glue dots
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker optional
  • Pumpkin template

Instructions

  • Download the pumpkin template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

  • Line up 11 popsicle sticks together. Take 3 additional popsicle sticks and stretch 2 glue dots along each of them. Glue each of these popsicle sticks to the group of 11, one on top, in the middle, and on the bottom.
  • Paint the popsicle sticks in 1-2 thin coats of orange paint. Let it dry completely before moving on.

  • First, take the eyes and glue them near the middle, one on each side.
  • Create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Cut off any excess paper that hangs beneath the mouth.

  • Glue the completed mouth below the eyes, in the middle of the pumpkin.
  • Next, place the cheeks on either side of the mouth and glue them in place.

  • Use a black marker to draw on the eyebrows above the pumpkin's eyes.
  • Position the stem and the top and middle of the pumpkin and glue it in place.
  • Take the vine piece and wrap it around your finger to curl the paper. Place glue on one end of it and glue it to the side of the stem.
