Printable Scarecrow Craft For Kids

This printable scarecrow craft is perfect for kids! It's easy enough for them to do by themselves and it only takes about 15 minutes.

Materials

  • White cardstock
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker or crayons if using the black and white version
  • Scarecrow template

Instructions

  • Download the scarecrow template and print it out. If you're using the color in version, color all of the pieces before you cut it out. If you're using the full color version, cut out all the pieces.
  • Begin to assemble the scarecrow by gluing the upper body to the top of the legs.
  • Take the stick arms and glue them at the end and behind each of the arms.
  • Place the scarecrow's kerchief on the top, middle of the shirt and glue it down.
  • Next, glue the head to the top of the kerchief.
  • Position the straw hair on each side of the head and glue it in place.
  • Finish off the scarecrow by gluing the hat to the top of the head.
  • Cut out a small, thin rectangle to act as the post for the scarecrow to display on. Glue this to a plain piece of colored paper.
  • Take the completed scarecrow and glue it on top of the post.
