Quail Handprint Craft For Kids

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Markers or crayons
  • Quail template

Instructions

  • Download the quail template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Trace your child's handprint onto a piece of brown paper and cut it out.
  • Place the handprint with the fingers pointed up and glue the belly to the bottom of the handprint. Trim off the paper that hangs off the bottom.

  • Glue the head to the top of the thumb, then glue the eye just below the eyebrow.
  • Next, glue the beak to the right of the eye so that it's hanging off the right side.
  • Take the plume and glue it to the top and back of the quail's head.

  • Position the wing to the middle of the belly and glue it in place.

  • Use different colored brown markers to draw lines along the wing and spots on the belly.
  • Finish up by gluing the feet to the back and bottom of the quail's belly.
