Materials

  • White cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Crayons or markers
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • R2D2 template

Instructions

  • Download the R2D2 template and print it out on white cardstock.
  • Have your child color in the droid pieces, then cut them all out.
  • Trace your child's hand on a piece of white cardstock, then cut it out.
  • Position the handprint with the fingers pointing down. Take the rounded R2D2 head and glue the center part of it to the handprint. Don't glue down the sides just yet.
  • Make the legs by gluing the rounded part to the top of the rest of the legs. Do this for both sides, then glue the legs on the outside edge of the handprint and underneath the sides of the head.
  • Glue the long rectangle in the middle of the white handprint, just beneath the head.
  • Finish off by gluing the rectangle piece with circles in it just below the thin rectangle.
