Materials

  • White cardstock
  • Brown paint or stamp pad
  • Scissors
  • Decorative accents optional; snowflake stickers, glitter glue, yarn, etc
  • Santa and reindeer card template

Instructions

  • Download the Christmas card template. There are 2 different cards available. One is slightly larger for older kids and the other is smaller. The smaller version is great for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Squirt a tiny bit of brown paint out on a scrap piece of paper. Dip your child's fingertip in the paint to evenly coat, then press it a few times on the scrap paper before pressing it onto the paper. This will help evenly spread out the paint on the fingertip.
  • Help press your child's finger gently on the space between each reindeer's ears and scarf. If there's not enough paint left on their finger for all of the reindeers, repeat the step above and finish. Let dry completely before moving on.
  • Finish the card off with any decorative accents you have on hand.
  • Use glitter glue to decorate.
  • Now, add snowflake stickers, or anything else your child can imagine.
  • Finish off by folding the card in half along the dashed line and cut it out with scissors.
  • Open up and write a special message inside!
