Materials

  • Paper Plate
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Rocket template

Instructions

  • Download the rocket template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Paint the paper plate in 1-2 thin coats of paint of your choice. Let it dry completely before moving on.
  • Place the rocket base template in the middle of the paper plate, trace, and cut it out.
  • Begin to assemble the ship by gluing the tip to the top of the rocket. Trim off the excess paper with scissors.
  • Create the windows by gluing the window frames to the rocket. Next, glue the windows to the window frames.
  • Make the rocket's engines by gluing the flame to the back and bottom of the engine (using the straight edged side).
  • Take the completed engines and glue them to the back and bottom of the rocket base.
  • Attach the fins on either side of the bottom of the rocket by gluing them to the back of the rocket base.
