Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker
  • Santa turkey template

Instructions

  • Download the Santa turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the beard to the face part of the turkey. Leave the lower portion unglued so you can glue the suit on later.
  • Take the eyes and glue them on the head, just above the beard.
  • Next, take the snood and glue it in between the eyes, just below them. Then glue the beak in the middle of the head, on top of the snood.
  • Create Santa's hat by gluing the fluff to the bottom of the hat.
  • Glue the pom to the top end of the hat.
  • Place the completed Santa hat on the top of the turkey's head, slightly overlapping the top of the eyes.
  • Next, glue the red suit to the body portion of the turkey.
  • Position the belt in the middle of the body and glue it in place. Trim off the ends of the belt.
  • Glue the yellow buckle in the middle of the belt, then use a black marker to draw on the inner buckle.
  • Place the feet with the toes pointed upward and glue them to the bottom of the turkey's body.
  • Finish up by gluing the Santa turkey body to the feathers. Use green feathers for Christmas colors or black for Santa's bag.
