Materials

  • Toilet paper roll or new cardboard tube
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Markers
  • Tape
  • Chick template

Instructions

  • Download the chick template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin to make the chick by gluing the belly to the middle and bottom of the belly.
  • Glue the eyes in between the top of the body and the top of the belly, one on each side.
  • Next, fold the beak in half, then glue it just below the eyes.
  • Take the fluff and glue it to the top and back of the chick's body.
  • Use a marker to draw on some eyebrows above the eyes.
  • Place tape along one side of the chick's body and attach it to the toilet paper roll. Wrap the body around the toilet roll, then use another piece of tape to secure it to the roll.
  • Take the wings and fold a small portion of the pointy side. Place glue on the folded portion and glue it to the sides of the chick's body, just on the sides of the body.
