Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Turkey template

Instructions

  • Download the turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eye just below the eyebrow, near the right side of the turkey's head.
  • Place the beak to the right of the eye and glue it half on and half off the turkey's head.
  • Next, glue the snood to the bottom of the turkey's beak.
  • Fold a piece of brown paper in half, then trace your child's left hand so that their pinky finger is along the fold line. Cut out the handprint, leaving the left side of the pinky side uncut.
  • Take the feathers and glue them onto each of the four fingers (leave the thumb uncovered). Optionally, you can trim these down. You can also have the kids color them instead of gluing paper on them.
  • Now, glue the turkey's head to the thumb.
  • Position the turkey's wing in the middle of the body and glue it in place.
  • Finish off by gluing the feet to the back and bottom of the card. Write a special message on the inside!
