This whale name craft has kids create a paper whale with a personalized touch. To personalize the craft, they'll add fish, each featuring a unique letter of their names.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Whale template

Instructions

  • Download the whale template, edit the template to add your child's name, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Start by gluing the belly to the bottom of the whale's body.

  • Glue the eye just below the eyebrow.
  • Next, glue the fin to the middle of the whale's body, just above the belly.

  • Position the whale in the middle of the background piece of paper and glue it in place.
  • Arrange the fish letters below the whale to spell out the child's name. Glue them in place.

  • Finish up by drawing wave lines all along the background piece of paper.
