Materials
- Thin cardboard from cereal or tissue box
- Paint we used acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Yarn
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Tape
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Apple template
Instructions
- Download the apple template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
- Place the apple template on the cardboard, trace it, and cut it out. Paint the apple in 1-2 thin coats of green or red paint. Let dry completely before moving on.
- Begin by gluing the stem to the top and back of the apple shape.
- Next, tape one end of the yarn to the back of the apple.
- Wrap the yarn around the apple in all directions as much or as little as you want.
- When you’re done, tape the other end of the yarn to the back of the apple and cut off the yarn.
- Flip the apple to the front side and glue the eyes near the top of the apple.
- Create the apple’s mouth by gluing the tongue to the mouth. Trim off any excess paper.
- Finish off by gluing the mouth in the middle of the apple, just below the mouth.
