Download the accordion turkey template, print, and cut out the pieces.
Begin by gluing the eyes just below the eyebrows.
Glue the snood just below the eyes.
Apply glue to attach the beak to the back of the snood, covering the lower part of the eyes.
Next, glue the wings on both sides of the body.
Glue the legs to the back and bottom part of the body.
Fold the 12x18-inch piece of construction paper accordion-style to create the feathers. Hold one end of the paper, then wrap the tape around the bottom to tape it together.
Finish up by taping the feathers to the back of the body. We also used a glue dot to secure the middle of the feathers to the turkey's body.
Notes
We used cardstock to make the turkey's body so it's more stable and construction paper for the feathers. It's much more difficult to use cardstock to make the feathers.
