Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Popsicle stick
  • Paintbrush
  • Yellow Paint
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Bee template

Instructions

  • Download the bee template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Line up 10 popsicle sticks together. Take 3 additional popsicle sticks, cut them to fit the group of 10 popsicle sticks, and stretch 2 glue dots along each of them. Glue each of these popsicle sticks to the group of 10, one on top, in the middle, and on the bottom. If you don’t want to use glue dots, replace them with hot glue and do the same steps as above.
  • Paint the popsicle sticks in 1-2 thin coats of yellow paint. Let it dry completely before moving on, then, create the bee’s body by gluing the stripes along the main portion of the body.
  • Take the eyes and glue them above the mouth.
  • Glue the antennae to the back and top of the bee’s head.
  • Next, take the completed head and glue it to the top portion of the body.
  • Finish off the bee by gluing the wings on either side of the body in between the sides of the body.
