Materials

  • Paper cup
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Butterfly template

Instructions

  • Download the butterfly template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes above the mouth and secure them in place with glue.
  • Next, glue the antennae to the top and back of the butterfly’s head.
  • Glue the oval butterfly wing decoration to the top part of both wings.
  • Position the circle butterfly wing decoration on top of the oval one, gluing them securely in place.
  • Now, glue the smaller ovals to create unique patterns on the wings
  • Place the stripes along the bottom part of the paper cup body and glue them down.
  • Next, glue the wings to the paper cup body of the butterfly and position them just right.
  • Finish off by taking the butterfly head and carefully glue it to the top of the paper cup.
