Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Butterfly Template

Instructions

  • Download the butterfly template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Tear the paper into small pieces.
  • Spread glue over the wings, covering both the outlines and the inside.
  • Place the torn paper pieces onto the glued areas, filling in the wings.
  • Draw details on the butterfly's body using a marker.
  • Glue the butterfly’s body below the wings.
  • Take the eye piece and glue it onto the butterfly's head.
  • Use a marker to draw eyelashes on the eyes.
  • Draw the antennae on top of the butterfly’s head.
