Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this butterfly to life!

Tear the paper into small pieces and set them aside. Now, grab the glue and help your little one cover both the outline and the inside of the wings.

Take the torn paper pieces and start placing them around the outer edges of the wings. This will create a nice layered effect.

Once the outer pieces are in place, begin filling in the inside of the wings with another color of torn paper.

Keep adding more paper pieces until the entire wing area is covered. Press down lightly to make sure everything sticks well.

Take the green butterfly body piece and use a marker to draw details, like curved lines on the body, to make it look more realistic.

Now, let’s add the butterfly’s body! Glue it just below the wings to look like it’s fluttering through the air.

Glue the eyes onto the butterfly’s head and watch it instantly become the cutest little flutterer.

Use a marker to draw little eyelashes for an extra dash of charm. It’s just a small detail, but it adds so much personality to your butterfly!

Finally, use a black marker to draw curly antennae on top of the butterfly’s head. Now your craft is complete!

Isn’t this butterfly craft just adorable? It’s a simple and engaging activity for little hands, and the torn paper gives it a fun, textured look! Check out more of our favorite spring crafts for even more creative fun!
