This cactus tissue paper craft for kids is a simple idea that's great for summer or Cinco de Mayo and helps with fine motor practice!

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tissue paper squares
  • Cactus template

Instructions

  • Download the cactus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Spread glue along a section of the cactus template.

  • Take some tissue paper, scrunch it up, and glue it on the spots you spread the glue. Repeat all along the cactus template until it is completely filled with tissue paper.
  • Next, take the eyes and glue them near the top of the center part of the cactus.

  • Create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Glue the completed mouth just below the eyes.
  • Finish up by cutting off the lower part of the background paper.
