Tissue Paper Cactus Printable

Kids will feel accomplished once they have created their own cactus with just a few basic craft supplies. Build up their confidence with a simple and easy craft they can create with some colorful paper and glue!
Be sure to download our free template so kids will have a guide of right where to place their scrunched up tissue paper and finish it off with a cheerful expression!
The act of scrunching up and precisely gluing the pieces in place is great fine motor practice, so it’s a beneficial craft, too!
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tissue paper squares
- Cactus template (enter your email in the form at the end of the post to get the template)
Directions
Download the cactus template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
Spread glue along a section of the cactus template.
Take some tissue paper, scrunch it up, and glue it on the spots you spread the glue. Repeat all along the cactus template until it is completely filled with tissue paper.
Next, take the eyes and glue them near the top of the center part of the cactus.
Create the mouth by gluing the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Glue the completed mouth just below the eyes.
Finish up by cutting off the lower part of the background paper.
