Cat in the Hat Fork Painting Craft

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Paint
  • Fork
  • Black marker
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Cat in the hat template

Instructions

  • Download the Cat in the Hat template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
  • Take a disposable fork and dip it into the white paint. Paint all around the inside of the face, leaving the outside border unpainted. Now, take the black paint and use the fork to paint the outside edge in black. Let dry.
  • Glue the hat stripes to the the hat. Cut off any excess paper that hangs off the sides.
  • Take the completed hat and glue it to the top of the cat's head.
  • Glue the eyes in the middle of the face.
  • Next, draw the eyebrows above the eyes.
  • Draw the nose and mouth below the eyes.
  • Finish off by gluing the red bowtie to the neck.
