Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Tape
  • Chicken Headband Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by gluing the comb piece to the top left side of the chicken’s head.
  • Glue the eye pieces onto the chicken’s face below the eyebrows.
  • Look for the wattle and glue it to the bottom of the beak.
  • Glue the beak in the middle of the chicken’s face.
  • Glue the cheek pieces onto both sides of the beak, just under the eyes.
  • Tape the headband extenders to both sides of the headband base.
  • Wrap the headband around your child’s head to measure the right size, remove it, then tape, staple, or use a paperclip to secure the two ends together.
