Directions
Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this chicken to life!

Look for the comb piece, the red shape that sits on top of the chicken’s head. Add glue to the back of the comb and glue it to the top left side of the chicken’s head.

Grab the eye pieces from the template. Glue them onto the chicken’s face, placing them below the eyebrows.

Glue the wattle to the bottom of the beak so the two pieces connect together.

Glue the beak in the middle of the chicken’s face, right below the eyes. Let your child line it up carefully and press it down. Now watch how the chicken’s face really starts to come to life!

Grab the cheek pieces and glue them onto both sides of the beak, just under the eyes. These little cheeks give the chicken a cute and friendly look that kids will love.

Finally, turn the chicken into a wearable headband. Tape the extender strips to both sides of the headband base. Wrap the headband around your child’s head to measure the right size, then tape the other end to secure it.

Your chicken hat is now ready to wear! Kids will love using it for pretend play while learning about farm animals and life on the farm. This fun craft also helps build creativity and fine motor skills as they cut, glue, and assemble the pieces.
