Directions
Start by printing the template, then gather the materials for this fun activity.

Take the color in template. Let your child color Jesus and the donkey. This is a great time to talk about the Palm Sunday story and why Jesus was riding into the city.

Grab the blue paper piece. This is going to be the sky in your scene. Spread glue on the back, then place it at the top of the green background.

Find the building piece that represents the city gates and glue it to the bottom of the sky piece.

Glue the path piece onto the green background with the curved end pointing toward the arch of the building.

Glue the palm leaf pieces along the bottom of the pathway. Slightly overlap them as you place each one so they look layered and full, just like real palm branches spread on the ground.

Now it’s time to add Jesus on the donkey to your scene. Glue it in the center of the page, right on top of the path, and just above the palm leaves.

To finish, take a green marker and let your child draw small lines of grass on the green background. This adds extra detail and gives them a chance to personalize their craft.

Your Palm Sunday scene is now complete! Take a moment to talk with your kids about why people laid palm branches down for Jesus and how you can welcome Him into your hearts today.

Thank you for making the Bible crafts, please make more of these! It’s too sad to see so few of these compare to a whole bunch of Easter bunnies and eggs. (I don’t want to promote the eggs and bunnies to my kids because that’s not the point of Easter)
Thank you for saying that. I’m so happy you like this, and I hope to add more faith centered crafts!
Can’t wait to use this craft.
