Christian Easter Craft
This is a simple and fun activity to enjoy at home, in Sunday School, or during any Easter celebration. You’ll need just a few common supplies for children to make a meaningful reminder of the resurrection.
Download our free template, gather some colorful paper, scissors, and glue, and start making a piece of art that celebrates the best news ever.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- He is Risen Template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template, then cut out all the pieces together. This is a great chance to practice those scissor skills!

Grab the sun cutout, then glue down the small pink pieces for the cheeks. This will give your sun a cheerful touch!

Now, arrange the yellow sunray pieces around the sun’s face. Glue them down and spread evenly like a shining sun.

Once your sun is complete, glue it onto the blue background.

Now, grab the green hill cutout with the black tomb entrance and glue it over the bottom part of the sun. This completes the scene and brings the resurrection story to life!

Take the ‘He Is Risen’ grass and glue it at the bottom part of the hill.

Finally, add the brown circle piece next to the tomb entrance. This represents the stone being rolled away, showing that the tomb is empty—Jesus is alive!

And that’s it! You now have a bright and cheerful “He Is Risen” craft that beautifully represents the resurrection story. This is such a fun and meaningful activity for kids! Be sure to check out some of our other bible crafts for more fun-filled creativity!
