Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this baby Jesus to life!

Grab your markers and start coloring the template pieces. This is a great time to help your child slow down, choose their colors, and fill in each shape using gentle strokes.

Continue coloring the rest of the template pieces using markers.

Grab your black background paper. This is going to be our night sky. Using a white paint pen or marker, invite your child to add stars all over the page.

Continue to draw dots, lines, and sparkly shapes all over the background to create a beautiful night sky. This step is perfect for encouraging creativity, and there is absolutely no wrong way to do it.

Once your sky is finished, let’s build the manger. Look for the manger piece, and glue it near the bottom center of the paper.

Next, find the roof piece. Glue them at an angle on top of the manger base to form the roof.

Now it’s time for the star of the scene! Glue Baby Jesus in the Manger right in the center of the stable. This is a wonderful moment to pause and talk about who Baby Jesus is in a simple, loving way.

Find the sheep piece and glue it next to the manger.

Next, grab the donkey piece and glue it on the other side of the manger.

Lastly, look for the smiling star and glue it above the roof in the night sky. Kids love this step because the star makes everything feel magical and finished.

Take a moment to admire the finished craft together. Your child created a beautiful Baby Jesus in a Manger scene using patience, creativity, and growing fine motor skills. If your kids enjoyed this activity, be sure to check out our other nativity crafts for kids for more meaningful, hands on fun.
