Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Elf template (click the “click here to get your freebies” image at the end of the post)
Directions
Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this elf to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes to the insides of the eyelashes.

Glue the nose below the eyes.

Next, glue the hair to the top portion of the head.

Position the head at the front and bottom of the Elf hat, and glue it in place.

Now, glue the Elf collar to the top portion of the hair.

Place the red floppy ball to the pointed end of the hat and glue it down.

Next, help your child to glue the red collar to the top portion of the green paper.

Glue the head and hair to the top portion of the Elf collar.

Trace your child’s hand onto orange paper two times and cut them out. Position the fingers pointing down and glue the two handprints together.

Finally, encourage your child to glue the Elf to the center of the handprint.

Girl Handprint Elf Craft
Materials
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Elf template
Instructions
- Download the girl elf template, print it, and cut out the pieces.
- Begin by gluing the eyes to the insides of the eyelashes.
- Glue the nose below the eyes, in the middle of the face.
- Next, glue the hair to the top portion of the head.
- Position the head to the front and bottom portion of the hat and glue it in place.
- Now, glue the hat trim to the place where the hat and hair meet.
- Place the pom on the pointed end of the hat and glue it down.
- Next, glue the collar to the top portion of the shirt.
- Glue the head to the top of the shirt collar.
- Trace your child’s hand onto colored paper two times and cut them out. Position the fingers pointing down and glue the two handprints together, so they're slightly overlapping. This is the back of the girl elf's hair.
- Finish off by gluing the handprint hair to the back of the girl elf's head.
