Paper Bag Gingerbread House Craft

Supplies
- Brown paper bag
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
- Gingerbread house template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the gingerbread house template and print it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this easy DIY to life!
First, if you’re using the color in version, let your child color in the pieces of the house. Cut out each of the pieces.
Next, encourage your child to place the candy cane rectangles on the sides of the paper plate and glue them in place.
Now, guide your child to glue the door in the middle and bottom of the paper bag.
Position the standard candy cane on both sides of the door and glue them in place.
Take the window and glue it in the middle of the paper bag, above the door.
Next, glue the peppermint candies on both sides of the window.
Glue the roof to the top of the candy cane rectangles.
Finally, help your child fold the top of the brown paper bag behind the roof so you can’t see it. Tape the flap down on the opposite side.
