Santa Claus is coming to town – and right down the chimney! Every Christmas Eve, Santa visits homes to deliver gifts to boys and girls, squeezing down chimneys with his sack full of surprises.

This project is a wonderful way for kids to develop fine motor skills and practice bilateral hand coordination as they cut, glue, and assemble their jolly Santa.
Getting started is easy! Download our free printable template and gather basic supplies like scissors, glue, and colored paper. It’s quick to set up for lots of holiday fun.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Santa template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring the Santa to life!
First, guide your child to glue the face in the middle of the beard piece.
Next, glue the eyes in the center of the face.
Position the nose below the eyes and glue it in place.
Now, help your child glue the hat on top of the head.
Glue the hat fluff to the bottom portion of the hat.
Place the hat pom at the end of the hat.
Glue the snow to the top portion of the chimney.
Next, glue the head on the top and back of the snow.
Create Santa’s arms by gluing the black gloves to the end of the arms.
Glue the arm fluff to the base of the gloves.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the arms to the back and sides of Santa Claus.
