This activity is a wonderful way to help children develop fine motor skills and bilateral hand coordination as they rip and paste their way to making this trusty sidekick.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Black marker

Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring Max to life!

First, guide your child in spreading glue on the dog’s body.

Next, tear the brown paper into small pieces, then glue them onto the background paper. Repeat the same process with dark brown paper for the ears.

Position the eyes in the center of the face and glue them in place.

Now, help your child to glue the nose below the eyes.

Draw the eyelashes on top of the eyes.

Place the antler on the top of the head and glue it down.

Finally, encourage your child to draw the bow on the antler.
