Ripped Paper Grinch Activity

Tearing and pasting the pieces of paper helps children develop their fine motor skills and bilateral hand coordination while creating a masterpiece and having some holiday fun.

Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Black marker
- Grinch template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring the Grinch to life!
First, guide your child to spread glue on the Grinch’s body.
Next, tear the green paper into small pieces, then glue them onto the background paper.
Position the hat on top of the Grinch’s head.
Glue the hat fluff to the bottom portion of the hat.
Now, help your child glue the hat pom to the tip of the hat.
Place the eyebrows below the hat fluff and glue them in place.
Glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Next, glue the nose below the eyes.
Finally, encourage your child to draw the mouth below the nose.
