On top of being fun to make and play with, it also is beneficial! Kids will be able to develop essential skills like using scissors, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
They’ll have fun decorating and customizing it just how they like, and then get to enjoy wearing their creation for hours of imaginative play.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Tape

Directions
Start by downloading the butterfly template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this butterfly to life!
First, encourage your child to glue the eyes below the eyebrows.
Next, guide your child to glue the antennae to the top and back of the butterfly head.
Take the middle wing pieces and help your child glue it to the center of the back wings.
Position the front wing pieces to the center of the middle wing pieces and glue them in place.
Fold the back wings along the dashed lines.
Place the wings on both sides of the headband and glue them in place.
Finally, place the headband extenders on both sides of the headband base and use tape to attach them.
