Start by downloading the butterfly template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this butterfly template to life!

First, guide your child to glue the stripes along the bottom part of the body.

Next, help your child to place the tape along one end of the butterfly body and stick it to the toilet paper roll.

Take the other side of the body and place another strip of tape on it.

Wrap it around the cardboard tube and tape it in place.

Fold the inner part of the butterfly wings over. This will be where you place the glue or double-sided tape. Now, take the teardrop shaped butterfly wing decoration and glue it to the top part of both wings.

Position the smaller teardrop butterfly wing decoration to the bottom of the wings and glue them in place. Take the completed butterfly wings and tape them to the sides of the cardboard tube.

Next, encourage your child to glue the antennae to the top and back of the butterfly head.

Finally, place glue on the middle of the butterfly head and tape or glue it to the top of the butterfly body.
