Shark Father’s Day Craft

To make this project, download the free printable template and gather a few basic supplies to have everything you need to create a cool gift for Dad, Grandpa or Papa.

This card activity is an easy way for preschoolers to tell Dad or Grandpa that he’s the best in the whole ocean! Grab your glue sticks and get ready to have some fun at home or in the classroom this June!

Directions

Start by downloading the shark template and printing it out. Once you have the template printed, gather the materials needed for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this shark to life!

First, encourage your child to glue the belly with the mouth to the bottom portion of the shark’s body.

Next, guide your child to place the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.

Position the right fin to the bottom of the gills and glue it in place.

Now, help your child glue the left fin to the side of the shark’s body.

Glue the shark to the background paper.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Shark template

Instructions

  • Download the shark template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • First, glue the belly with the mouth to the bottom portion of the shark’s body.
  • Next, place the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.
  • Position the right fin to the bottom of the gills and glue it in place.
  • Now, glue the left fin to the side of the shark’s body.
  • Glue the shark to the background paper.
  • Finish off by drawing waves on the background paper.
