Reindeer are famous for pulling Santa’s sleigh across the night sky and are full of magic!
Bring some of that magic home or into the classroom and invite kids to make their reindeer with this easy and fun paper strip reindeer craft! Kids will cut and glue strips of paper to create the reindeer’s body and finish the project off with a red nose like Rudolph or a classic black nose like Comet.

Paper Reindeer Craft

This activity adds a little holiday cheer to your little ones’ day and helps them strengthen fine motor skills and practice bilateral hand coordination as they cut and glue the paper strips in place.
Be sure to download our free template to make it even easier for your little ones to assemble their reindeer. Grab the colored paper, scissors, and glue for some holiday fun.
Supplies
- Colored cardstock or construction paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Reindeer template (unlock the image at the end of the post to go to the download page)
Directions
Start by downloading the template and printing it out. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring the reindeer to life!
First, guide your child to glue the lower half of the face to the bottom portion of the face.
Next, glue the nose above the mouth.
Position the eyes below the eyebrows and glue them in place.
Now, help your child glue the antlers to the back and top of the head.
Glue the hooves on the end of the 4 paper strips.
Next, glue arms and legs to the background paper.
Now, glue the paper strips in between the arms and legs.
Finally, encourage your child to glue the head to the top portion of the body.
