Cooler fall weather is here, which is so welcomed after a hot summer! It’s a great time of year to go for a nature walk. We love to see the leaves changing colors, and the squirrels scamper about gathering nuts for the winter.

Those cute little animals inspired this fun squirrel pumpkin craft. The kids will go nuts to create their own, and get into the Halloween spirit!

Paper Pumpkin Craft

Supplies

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Squirrel template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the squirrel pumpkin craft, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the lower part of the face to the bottom of the pumpkin base.

Take the nose and glue it to the top of the mouth lines, then glue the teeth beneath the mouth.

Place each of the eyes on the rounded part of the lower face and glue them in place.

Next, glue the cheeks below each of the eyes.

Finish up by gluing the stem to the top and back of the pumpkin.
