Carrot Handprint Craft (Free Printable Template)

Since springtime is here, it’s time to get kids excited about Easter! They can celebrate the season and get creative with their handprints. Little hands make the best keepsakes, and we have a fun activity where they show them off.

Easter Carrot Craft

It’s a fun and festive way to welcome Easter while also sneaking in a bit of fine motor skill practice. Best of all, no two carrots will look the same since each one is made with unique handprints!  

You can use our free carrot template and gather a few basic supplies like colored paper, scissors, glue, and a marker so you’ll be ready to create a bunch of these cute and personalized carrots. It’s an easy and mess-free project that kids will love making at home or in the classroom.

Directions

Start by downloading and printing the template. Once the template is printed, gather the materials for this fun activity. Get those scissors ready, and let’s help the kids bring this carrot to life!

First, guide your child to glue the eyes to the inside of the eyelashes.

Next, help your child to glue the mouth below the eyes.

Glue the tongue inside the mouth.

Finally, trace your child’s hands onto a piece of green paper and cut it out. Then glue the handprint to the top portion of the carrot.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Carrot template

Instructions

  • Download the carrot template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the eyes next to the eyelashes.
  • Next, glue the mouth below the eyes.
  • Glue the tongue inside the mouth.
  • Trace your child’s hands onto a piece of green paper and cut out. Then glue the handprint to the top portion of the carrot.
