This Palm Sunday Craft has kids recreate the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem on a donkey, walking over palm branches laid along the road.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Palm Sunday Template

Instructions

  • Print the template and gather the materials for this fun activity.
  • Begin by coloring Jesus and the donkey. Cut all the pieces out.
  • Next, glue the sky piece to the top of the background paper.
  • Glue the building piece to the bottom edge of the sky.
  • Gue the path piece onto the background with the curved end pointing toward the arch of the building.
  • Gather the palm leaf pieces and glue them along the bottom of the path, slightly overlapping each one to create a layered look.
  • Take the colored Jesus on the donkey piece and glue it in the center of the page, just above the palm leaves.
  • Finally, draw small lines of grass around the green paper to complete the craft.
