Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker
  • Sombrero Template

Instructions

  • Download the template, print it, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Begin by gluing the decorative piece to the top portion of the sombrero base.
  • Next, glue the stripe pieces across the upper section of the sombrero.
  • Position the pom pom letters in order to spell the child's name near the bottom of the hat.
  • Use a marker to draw vertical lines from the brim, one line for each letter in the name, to the top of the pom pom lettters.
  • Glue each letter circle along the brim, aligning them with the drawn lines.
  • Finish by pressing down each circle to secure it in place.
