Doctor Paper Bag Puppet Craft

This fun paper bag puppet is a great way to teach kids about community helpers. Let your child's imagination run wild as they pretend to be a doctor!

Materials

  • Brown paper bag
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Doctor template

Instructions

  • Download the doctor template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Take the hair and glue it to the top of the head.
  • Create the body by gluing the pants to the bottom of the shirt piece.
  • Next, place the shoes at the bottom of the pants and glue them down.
  • Create the doctor's coat by gluing the sides to the doctor's body.
  • Glue the completed body to the base of the brown paper bag.
  • Place the completed head on the flap portion of the brown page and glue it down.
  • Create the head mirror by gluing the outer head mirror to the mirror band. Next, glue the inner mirror to the center of the outer mirror.
  • Position the completed head mirror in the middle of the hair and glue it in place. Trim off any excess paper that hangs off the sides.
  • Make the arms by gluing the hands to the arms.
  • Finish up by gluing the arms to the sides of the paper bag.
