Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Dragon Template

Instructions

  • Download the dragon template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.
  • Trace your child's hand onto a piece of colored paper and cut it out. Position the head with he hand pointed down and the thumb on the right side. Begin by gluing the head to the top of the thumb.

  • Glue the eye just below the eyebrow.
  • Take one horn and glue it to the top and front of the dragon's head. Take the 2nd horn and glue it to the back of the dragon's head.
  • Assemble the front wing by attaching the front of the wing to the back of the wing.

  • Position the front wing on the top of the palm and glue it in place. Glue the back wing to the back of the dragon's body.
  • Glue the tail to the back of the pinky side of the handprint.

  • Finish up by gluing the tip of the tail.
